Heather Patti
Senior Restoration Ecologist

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Mrs. Heather Patti joined Cedarburg Science in 2004 as a Senior Restoration Ecologist and Restoration Team Leader, specializing in coordinating, implementing and designing Wetland Mitigation and Restoration Projects. She has achieved successful projects by obtaining applicable state, federal and local permits. She has completed many wetland and upland restoration projects throughout the southeast United States and southeast Wisconsin.

In addition to the design of project plans, she has handled
Wetland and Woodland Assessments, Invasive Species Management, and Natural Resource Management projects for nonprofits, private landowners, commercial and governmental clients. She has contributed to plans for restoration of both upland and wetland communities, including fens, bogs, sedge meadows, marshes, prairies, and oak savannas. Heather’s ecological experience demonstrates her ability to problem-solve and to serve as an effective liaison in Public-Private partnership situations, including effective resolution of permitting matters to get complex projects approved.

Heather has participated in numerous natural resource mitigation and restoration projects, and has presented many public
information and educational outreach programs related to restoration projects. Her responsibilities have included conducting hydrologic, vegetative, and wildlife monitoring of wetland mitigation sites; preparing annual reports for regulatory agencies, and assisting in the Design and Construction of Wetland Mitigation sites. Heather also conducts potential wetland mitigation site searches and field evaluations, develops Management Plans, and implements appropriate management practices on wetland mitigation projects to maintain habitat diversity.

Heather is instrumental in leading delineations and completing WDNR NR 103 Water Quality Certifications, Chapter 30 grading permits, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers General Permits. Ms. Patti has experience in conducting Flora and Fauna Surveys in Environmentally-Sensitive Areas and Habitat Management Planning, and conducts inspections for erosion control, stormwater runoff, and water quality impacts. She served on a statewide committee for erosion control and storm water policies.
